Opening a brand-new toy on Christmas morning, at a birthday party, or just because is unmatched in its excitement.Even if children are unaware of the valuable skills they acquire each time they pick up their favorite doll, truck, card game, ball, or stuffed animal, toys are an essential part of their development and learning process in addition to the joy they bring.Naturally, since there are constantly new toys and cool trends, it can be expensive to provide those toys and opportunities for exploration. For this reason, we have compiled a list of the best toys under $50 that are guaranteed to maximize fun and education.

'All toys are educational because that’s how kids learn about skills, it’s how they’re learning about the world, it’s how they move their body, how to think, and that’s how they are practicing for the things they’re going to need in adulthood,” states Christia Brown, a psychology professor at the University of Kentucky. There are lessons in every toy. That is true, for example, of a STEM kit meant to teach a science lesson; however, it is also true of ordinary toys that teach children about people's appearance, how to engage in imaginative play, and how to care for them.

To find the most engaging, long-lasting, and educational toys for children of all ages, from toddlers to tweens, we talked to experts on child development and looked at hundreds of popular choices, including this year's most talked-about games and toys.We also looked at prices, and we found many affordable options that your kids will love.

The best toys under $50 this year are here

She is 5 inches tall.

THIS IS ACTUALLY QUITE AMAZING FOR THE PRICE,LEGS AND KIIINDA REMOVEABLE
The sounds are perfect and adorable. My concern and many people here were worried about the legs. They can’t be removed per say, but the lower half can be removed, giving the same basic effect I think a lot of us want. I’m very happy with this and the price is just amazing for it. The expensive one has a lot to live up to now.O.T.Lorenz

SO FUN, UNIQUE, AND ADORABLE
My 5 year old absolutely LOVES this! It took the cake out of all her bday gifts this year! The interactive spell reveal is one of the most entertaining and captivating “unboxing” mechanics I’ve ever seen. My daughter was enthralled from beginning to end, and, as an adult, I was also thoroughly impressed! The Mixie plush is cute and my daughter enjoys it’s interactive play with the wand and cauldron. However, the cauldron is really the standout star of this toy, imo. It’s much more than just a one-time gimmick, as many similar reveal toys tend to be. I recommend this toy 100% to anyone. Def looking forward to the release of the Crystal Ball Magic Mixie from Santa this year!...JustTheOneMahi

GET THE DELUXE, NOT THE SMALLER BOX
With this deluxe box we got a lot more variety of crystals over the smaller box. My kid loved it. Use a cold chisel or an all metal flat screwdriver to split them. Otherwise you might just smash the rock into pieces and ruin it. Put a towel over and under to keep chips from flying about..Jeff

GOOD QUALITY SCOOTER!
My 8-year-old son has been wanting a scooter for a while, but I’ve been apprehensive about it only because of my concern for his safety. When we got it in the mail, it was nice and light so right off the bat I knew he would be able to hold it and carry it easily! I showed him how to fold/unfold it and how to extend/collapse the handle bars and he was able to perform this after seeing it only once. As soon as he geared up (helmet and pads) he practiced riding it around in front of me so I can check how it performs and how comfortably he would be able to control it and handle it and I was very pleased from the start at how well it performed. The dimensions of the scooter is a good size for him and his age which gave him full control over the scooter. It didn’t go super fast to be a concern to this worried parent and it was durable, but made of light enough material for him to be able to control it. It has a brake on the back wheel that he was able to start using once he was comfortable enough with balancing himself on the scooter. This is a good scooter for a beginner!..H.H
